Resources: Race, equity, action In light of recent national and international events surrounding racial injustice, we’ve updated our resources document . MESA was born out of the concern for the lack of opportunity for African American students. It was a grassroots movement that started on the heels of the Civil Rights Movement. Now more than ever it is important we offer the voice, resources, space and opportunity for our students to express themselves, promote dialogue and push for equality. Please continue to visit our list as we will be updating frequently. It still includes various resources for dealing with the COVID-19 school closures. MESA serves students across the educational pathway through three complementary segments. College Prep MESA’s college prep program sparks early interest in STEM by bridging classroom concepts to real-world practice, and inspires youth on their STEM journey to higher education and their future success.
